The X2 system introduces a completely new way of timekeeping and race data management. The system consists of the following components:
The X2 Server is the beating heart of the system. All components are connected to and controlled from this core device.
An X2 Decoder collects data from the detection loops which capture the signals that are sent via the X2 transponder.
Orbits 5 Software
The system runs on top-notch software, based on the well-known Orbits software: Orbits 5. Orbits 5 is dedicated for X2, but third party software is also available.
The X2 Cloud collects and back-ups race data from X2 systems connected to the Internet. The X2 Cloud also offers access to the Software Development Kit.

X2 Link works with the X2 System. X2 Link consists of several parts; the BaseLink, LoopBox and the HD Decoder. Vehicles are required to have a MYLAPS X2 Transponder Direct Power installed with a valid subscription, as well as the X2 RaceLink add-on, and an onboard display that is supported to receive data.

The LoopBox is the permanent link between all trackside infrastructure. It connects to the detection loop, the BaseLink and to the X2 Server in the timing room.
Permanently installed at the start/finish line, the X2 BaseLink is the system’s antenna. It sends and receives data to and from vehicles on the track through radio frequency communication.
X2 HD Decoder
The new X2 HD Decoder sets a new standard. It provides tracks with a digital signal, which reduces noise levels. The new decoder also provides power to the LoopBox and the BaseLink.
All vehicles on the track install the X2 RaceLink antenna. This antenna receives the signals which are sent from the BaseLink and sends these signals to the onboard display in order to show race data.
