SYSTEM COMPONENTS

The MYLAPS RC Timing System, previously the AMBrc System, includes hardware and software components, providing you with a complete solution for simple, accurate and reliable timekeeping.

1. MYLAPS RC_TRANSPONDER

The transponder, installed in each vehicle, sends a unique signal to the detection loop to:

  • Identify the racer
  • Record the exact time at which the RC passed the detection loop

2. MYLAPS_DETECTION LOOP

Works as the system antenna to receive all transponder signals. The detection loop is embedded at the finish line at your track.

3. MYLAPS_RC DECODER

Attached to the detection loop, it decodes the transponder signal into the racer’s ID and the exact time that the racer crossed the finish line.
When the decoder is in practice mode and is connected to the internet, the decoder publishes all practice results directly to mylaps.com.

4. MYLAPS TIMING_SOFTWARE

MYLAPS Timing Software, previously Sparc, can be installed on your computer and allows you to generate results:

  • Set up the system
  • Prepare entry lists for each race
  • Process, print and publish official event results
  • Upload event results to mylaps.com
