SYSTEM COMPONENTS

The MYLAPS Skate ProChip Timing System, previously the ChipX System, includes hardware and software components, providing you with a complete solution for simple, accurate and reliable timekeeping.

1. MYLAPS SKATE_PROCHIP

Attached to an ankle strap, the ProChip sends a unique signal to the detection loop to:

Identify the skater
Record the exact time at which the skater passed the detection loop

2. MYLAPS_DETECTION LOOP

Works as the system antenna to receive all ProChip signals. The detection mat is laid across the finish line and all other timing points installed at your track.

3. MYLAPS PROCHIP_DECODER

Attached to the detection loop, it decodes the transponder signal into the skater’s ID and the exact time that the skater crossed the finish line.

When the decoder is in practice mode and is connected to the internet, the decoder publishes all practice results directly to mylaps.com.

4. MYLAPS TIMING_SOFTWARE

MYLAPS Timing Software, previously Orbits, can be installed on your computer and allows you to generate results.
