The Trans Andes Challenge is an extreme mountain bike race through the rugged Andes Mountains, in the Chilean Patagonia, and without a doubt, a physical and mental challenge. Professional racers strongly compete, but at the same time the amateurs can go in their own pace a event take it as a tour. This exclusive mountain bike race took place in the heart of the beautiful Chilean Patagonia from Jan 23-28 2012.

The Winter X Games is a competition where the greatest winter action sport athletes from all around the world compete on an annual basis. The 2012 version was held last week in Aspen, Colorado. The competition contains both day and evening events, including skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling.

The ADAC Kart Masters and the DMV Kart Championship will introduce Personal Transponders in the upcoming 2012 season. They are both German kart series. For 2012 there will be 5 events held in the ADAC Kart Masters. The 2012 DMV Kart Championship consists of 7 events.

From January 13ht until the 22th, the very first Winter Youth Olympics were held in Innsbruck, Austria. Like their grown up colleagues, the young athletes (aged 14 to 18) performed in all major winter sports, from Alpine Skiing to Ice Hockey and Ski Jumping. Nearly 1100 sportsboys- and girls from over 70 nations made this version of the Olympics ground-breaking: not only were these the first Winter Youth Olympics, many sports were played in a new format. We have seen teams mixed by gender or age and sports with new rules or in a completely different format.

At the end of 2011 MYLAPS signed an agreement with Impact Software Group of John Dains (USA) to acquire the Trackside Software. This strategic partnership in the Motocross market will create a complete turnkey Race Management Software and integrated Transponder timing solution for the Amateur and Pro Motocross markets. As part of this agreement John Dains will become a full time employee of MYLAPS to further develop and support the Trackside Software.

The yearly kart trade show IKA in Offenbach (DE) will be held on the 21st and 22nd of January 2012. MYLAPS will be present at this fair to meet up with our karting customers, karting fans and potential customers. The IKA is the biggest kart expedition in the world and is held this year for the 20th time.
