All participants of the running and cycling events of Le Champion are for the coming years ensured of the latest developments in the area of time tracking and live online experience. The organisers of well-known events in the Netherlands like the Dam to Dam Run and TCS Amsterdam Marathon signed a 3-year agreement with MYLAPS, the Dutch inventor of automatic timing and leader in live performance insights to attract more athletes and spectators.
In-app live tracking and live photos of all athletes
Good news for participants and followers of the Saucony Half Marathon of Egmond: this is the first event in the Netherlands using LivePhoto in their own customized EventApp. All athletes can be followed with LiveTracking, and the new PhotoVideo service offers live and automated in-app photos at multiple split points. Other events of Le Champion will also use the services of MYLAPS to take the event experience to the next level.
From registration to result
Le Champion and MYLAPS joined forces 22 years ago and are now expanding their collaboration. Le Champion uses the MYLAPS platform before, during and after the event. It starts with the registration process (the registration platform of MYLAPS saves Le Champion a lot of time) and is further reflected during the event, with timekeeping and live services like apps, live photo and video and social media integrations. All results and insights are published on the result platform MYLAPS Sporthive shortly after the event.
Optimal experience for athletes, spectators and sponsors
‘We always strive for the best possible experience for our participants, their fans and our sponsors’, says Cees Pronk, Race Director of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. ‘On the one hand by organising high-profile and iconic events and on the other, by using the newest technology to make the events even more attractive. We are convinced that this collaboration with MYLAPS brings our events to a new level.’
Ignaat Verhees, Manager MYLAPS Event Timing:
‘We are a Dutch company and our technology is being used around the world, even during the Olympics and the IndyCar and MotoGP. Le Champion is a partner close to home that we have a good working relationship with and we are delighted to further expand our collaboration. Le Champion knows best what is involved in the organisation of sports events and what their participants, fans and sponsors nowadays need. With our solutions we are happy to do our part.’
