New! Automated live photos & videos of all your athletes

Please welcome a new groundbreaking innovation of MYLAPS: automated live photos and videos of all your athletes. The new service is called PhotoVideo and is available now for early adapters!

Automated photos and videos

PhotoVideo provides high quality automated photos and videos, which can be fully branded to your own look and feel for maximum brand visibility. On top of that all personal photos and videos are available free of charge (for the athletes) and published online on race day.

Optionally the photos can be pushed LIVE to the MYLAPS EventApp and Facebook. Lincoln Marathon was one of the early birds to use this new service.

How does it work?

Setting up PhotoVideo is a matter of 3 easy steps:

  1. Connect the PhotoVideo Integrator (the yellow box in the picture below) to the camera(s), the internet and the decoder of your BibTag timing system. Use your laptop to change the settings of the camera, like zooming and light/dark optimization.
  2. The PhotoVideo Integrator does the magic with the captured media and publishes the photos and videos to your selected channels (EventApp, Facebook, Twitter or our Results platform).
  3. Confirm and publish the personal photos and videos.

‘Runners thrilled, spectators excited’

Lincoln Marathon was the first event in the world with personal live photos in their own Lincoln Marathon EventApp. According to race director Nancy Sutton, ”The runners were thrilled with the PhotoVideo service provided by MYLAPS. The spectators were excited to see their runners, including their photos, as they progressed along the course. We will definitely want PhotoVideo back again next year. This service upgraded our event!”

Official launch date for PhotoVideo is mid Q3. Currently the services are available for early adapters as a Beta service. Interested in PhotoVideo for your events or want more information?

‘Capturing this priceless moment in our lives!

Live photos give a new dimension in following the race, spectators can really follow the journey of runners as they progress along and for runners it is great to cross the finish line and immediately see their personal pictures and provisional time in one screen. Todd and Darla Smith are two proud Lincoln Marathon finishers, read what they had to say about their experience: ”We didn’t expect to get any pictures, anything outside of a few family snapshots. But our faces lit up when we saw these finish line photos taken by MYLAPS. And fortunately, it wasn’t just one or two… but 10 in total to choose from! Thank you very much for capturing this priceless moment in our lives, we couldn’t be more pleased.”
