NXG Youth Motorsports and MYLAPS Sports Technology announce a partnership to motivate and prepare youth from underrepresented communities to be conscientious drivers behind the wheel and in their lives. NXG offers learning activities, in which karting and motorsports principles are used as tools for life skill development and education.
NXG has the ambition to promote increased minority participation, inclusion, and to decrease the disparity in the racing and automotive industries. In the NXG Academy boys and girls (11-16 years old) learn the fundamental aspects of go-kart racing including precision driving techniques, track geometry, non-verbal communication, motorized vehicle mechanics, critical thinking, self-discipline and control, and many more.
New courses on timing and scoring of racing events
MYLAPS is the global market leader in sports timing and an expert in race control solutions, widely used in professional motorsports like INDYCAR, NASCAR, and MotoGP, and countless local races around the globe. The company’s advanced technology will now be integrated into the NXG education program, offering courses on timing and scoring. The partnership helps students to pursue a career in racing operations and carry with them the knowledge of MYLAPS timing technology.
Top-notch technology for STEM education
